Tolu Ogunlesi is a media aide to the President. He sees and hears things, he is curious as a cat and can employ both paid and volunteering Nigerians to unearth hidden problems (no, opportunities). He also has something most of us do not have — the ear of the president. By the powers vested in me, I hereby appoint Tolu Ogunlesi as the first Chair of Federal Task Force on Small Things. He reports only to the president and the general public. The public is happy to get 30day reports on resolutions via twitter.

We will cut him some slack if he fails to deliver on this, after all this is Nigeria — as long as he presents us with a clear cut report titled “Why I failed” afterwards. This report will guide his successor of potential pitfalls, something that is apparently missing today in most positions of power in our dear country.
